Add a Facility
Facilities are the central records in SmartComply — they represent the physical locations you track for compliance (e.g., restaurants, industrial sites, commercial buildings).
From the Dashboard
- Click + Add Facility from the quick-action bar or navigate to Facilities → Add New.
- Fill in the required fields:
- Facility Name — The name of the business or location.
- Address — Street address, city, state, and ZIP. SmartComply auto-geocodes the address and places the facility on the GIS map.
- Facility Type — Select from categories like Restaurant, Industrial, Commercial, Residential, etc.
- Optional fields include phone number, email, primary contact name, and notes.
- Click Save.
GIS Integration
Each facility is placed on an interactive map based on its geocoded address. You can also manually adjust the pin location by clicking the map. The GIS view is accessible from the Facilities → Map tab.
Associating with Modules
After creating a facility, you can associate it with specific programs. For example, a restaurant might be linked to both the FOG and Backflow modules. Use the facility detail page to manage associations.
