AI Import Mapping
When you upload a CSV or Excel file for import, SmartComply's AI analyzes your column headers and sample data to automatically suggest field mappings.
How It Works
- The AI reads each column header and compares it against known field names and common variations.
- It examines sample data values to infer data types (dates, numbers, addresses, etc.).
- Confidence scores are shown for each mapping suggestion.
- Low-confidence mappings are highlighted for your review.
Manual Override
You can always override AI suggestions. Click any mapping dropdown to select a different SmartComply field or mark a column as "Skip" if it doesn't apply.
Learning
The AI improves over time as you confirm or correct mappings. Your workspace's import history helps refine future suggestions.
